/etc/modules.d is long deprecated. Please provide an equivalent /etc/modprobe.d file instead.

that isn't needed anymore at all, thus removed.

update-modules still complains about it

should kqemu ebuild remove the provided /etc/modules.d/kqemu ?

which version are you using? the latest one should work correctly

it's 1.4.0_pre1
i'm ~amd64 and I've just synced world
