sparc doesn't have it stable
Comment 6 Doug Goldstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-25 20:57:43 UTC
this package works for me fine on amd64, despite bug 199344. It seems more like the test is broken then the actual package being broken.

amd64 stable.
Comment 7 Doug Goldstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-25 20:58:09 UTC
every arch stable.
Comment 8 Tom Regner 2008-05-02 08:05:10 UTC
on my amd64 machine, the ebuild does not complain and seems to install just fine, but because of the failing cs/test_crc.cs this core component is not installed - with the consequence that it is impossible to build other packages depending on clearsilver.
I attached a patch to bug 199344 that solves this issue for me - maybe you can release clearsilver-0.10.5-r1 to finally get rid of this issue. Upstream is informed, I hope the next release will include the fix.

I'm using clearsilver successfully on an amd64 machine and I have other packages that depend on clearsilver working just fine...

Could it be a compiler issue? Or more likely autotools?

Fact is, if I don't apply either patch attached to bug 199344, the clearsilver install is incomplete (e.g. cs/cs.h is missing (the whole cs directory in /usr/include/ClearSilver actually is) which is included in ClearSilver.h) - nothing including ClearSilver.h will compile here.

But I can maintain my own ebuild in my local overlay just fine - hopefully this issue will be gone with the next clearsilver release.

gcc (Gentoo 4.2.3 p1.0)
autoconf 2.62
automake 1.10.1
