Description Mart Raudsepp gentoo-dev 2007-09-09 23:26:40 UTC
Hello,

Here's a list of packages that dropped mips keyword at some point. The request is that the newest version be keyworded, or keywords on all old versions dropped as well (so that they can be cleaned out). This is mainly meant as a reminder for `Kumba to make sure this gets looked at this time when there are some free cycles on his Octane :)

Several of these do need an upgrade it seems, but several others can probably be dropped. I'll check this this weekend (hopefully)

gnome-base/libgtop/libgtop-2.14.9.ebuild
gnome-base/librsvg/librsvg-2.16.1-r2.ebuild
x11-libs/libgksu/libgksu-2.0.4.ebuild
x11-libs/vte/vte-0.16.6-r1.ebuild

All these are keyworded straight to stable. I hate doing it, but I'm not gonna let 30 days knock us further behind. Ya'll will have 2.20 out before I know it, heh.

The remaining need their keywords dropped, as by checking what's installed on my Octane (I used Xming on windows for remote connections), they're not needed. It seems we no longer need libgnomeui or gnome-icon-themes, which is nice.

I'll try to get to those as time permits.

hi mips, with gnome 2.22 around the corner, would you like us to provide a list of packages you'd need to rekeyword or just drop the last versions you have a keyword for ?

please have a look at bug #218794

A couple more packages got their mips keyword dropped because the revision was over 2 years old and we have no mean to check it still works with the rest of gnome ebuilds properly, let alone build. Closing wontfix for lack of activity.
