Description Richard Scott 2007-08-10 08:14:05 UTC
When installing hostapd with the madwifi drivers support the ebuild does not pull in the correct packages and it forgets to include the mad-wifi drivers.

It includes net-wireless/madwifi-ng-tools and forgets net-wireless/madwifi-ng!

Please can this be added to the list of dependents if you feel its relevant.

I do, as I've had to install it to get my atheros wireless card to work! ;-)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="madwifi" emerge madwifi
2. modprobe ath_pci
3.

Actual Results:
I am unable to find the module ath_pci

Expected Results:
I would have liked to modprobed the module for my atheros card to be activated.

Nope, the dependencies are correct, see Bug 179348. This is not supposed to install the drivers, only the stuff needed to compile hostapd.
