Although I've found this: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15163 whici
implies that an ebuild already exists, I can't find it, and can't verify if this
latest version really needs db2, as they only advise to use it on their website.

From kbabel homepage: 
"KBabel is included in package kdesdk of KDE (1.0 is a part of KDE 3.1)." 
 
so having a seperate KBabel ebuild makes no sense to me. 
If there are no objections I'll mark as wontfix.

ok, kbabel is part of kdesdk.
