Currently hibernate-3.2.1 has OutOfMemory Errors on amd64 otherwise I believe it is close to being tree ready.

There may have to be some investigation as 2 how to get the javadocs to build. As ive experimented with increasing Xmx to over 1g with it still failing.

Have you tried building with ecj? That usually helps with out of memory problems during compilation on amd64.

Need to see about removing jboss support, as it requires modular jboss which isn't ready for the main tree, before bringing it to the main tree.

hibernate has been last-rited. It is still alive upstream but there was a big gap between 3.1 and 5.0 so there was no point in keeping the old version around. It has been modularized anyway so any new version would be added as hibernate-core, among others.
