Comment 1 Tristan Heaven (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-18 11:37:51 UTC
Which version?
Comment 2 Aniruddha 2006-11-18 12:05:40 UTC
It is wesnoth-1.0.2
Comment 3 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-18 18:58:28 UTC
You're trying to run the server without any arguments. Use the installed init script. "/etc/init.d/wesnothd start" should work fine.
Comment 4 Aniruddha 2006-11-19 01:06:20 UTC
ok thanks for the explanation. I am sorry to 'bug' you. One final question, do I need to emerge another instance of wesnoth without the server USEflag in order to play the game normally?
Comment 5 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-19 06:50:50 UTC
You only got the server because you specified the dedicated use flag. Turn that off if you want the game client installed.
