Description Matteo Modesti 2006-11-08 04:08:17 UTC
Hi
I'm trying to update kdepim from 3.5.5-r1 to 3.5.5-r2

[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdepim-3.5.5-r2 [3.5.5-r1] USE="crypt kdeenablefinal -arts -debug -gnokii -kdehiddenvisibility -pda -xinerama"

but I can't: arriving at this point

creating libkmailprivate_la.all_cpp.cpp ...
creating libkmailpart_la.all_cpp.cpp ...
/bin/sh ../libtool --silent --tag=CXX --mode=compile x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I../libkmime -I../libkpgp -I../libkdenetwork -I../libkdepim -I../libkpimidentities -I../libemailfunctions -I../libksieve -I../mimelib -I../certmanager/lib -I../certmanager/lib/ui -I../indexlib -I.. -I/usr/include/gpgme -I../libkdepim -I/usr/kde/3.5/include -I/usr/qt/3/include -I.   -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT  -D_REENTRANT  -Wno-long-long -Wundef -ansi -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500 -D_BSD_SOURCE -Wcast-align -Wconversion -Wchar-subscripts -Wall -W -Wpointer-arith -DNDEBUG -DNO_DEBUG -O2 -march=athlon64 -pipe -O2 -Wformat-security -Wmissing-format-attribute -Wno-non-virtual-dtor -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -fno-common -DQT_CLEAN_NAMESPACE -DQT_NO_ASCII_CAST -DQT_NO_STL -DQT_NO_COMPAT -DQT_NO_TRANSLATION  -c -o libkmailpart_la.all_cpp.lo libkmailpart_la.all_cpp.cpp

it doesn't continue! It also slows down all the system, so I have to press Ctrl+C to stop it. Once I press it, here is what portage writes (may help you?):

sandbox: Caught signal 2 in pid 8546

/usr/portage/kde-base/kdepim/kdepim-3.5.5-r2.ebuild: src_compile aborted; exiting.

If you need any other information, you have only to ask!
Here is my emerge --info:

KMail requires a few GBs of RAM to build with kdeenablefinal.
