I installed Gentoo 2006.0 with core 2.6.17-r8. I installed stage3 and then I compiled the core. Major I was very careful to choosing right driver for my Ethernet NIC. It´s REALTEK 8139. I checked the driver for this card. It´s compiled in the core. I use DHCP protocol, I emerged dhcpcd and I made some options for this. Network should be accessible, but if I rebooted my notebook, network didn´t work. "eth0 isn´t Ethernet device". Driver for REALTEK 8139 is mark as EXPERIMENTAL because I think it should be OK? I will try to recompile the core with other drivers and I´ll see. Thank you for your time.

Don't restrict bugs without any reason. Just leave the checkboxes alone.

Reopen with emerge --info, your network configuration, kernel .config and dmesg output.
