I guess python guys will be more familiar with this.
Solution to this problem: emerge pyxdg The dependency should me added to e-build. See as well bug #205396
As part of today's bugday, I took a look at this issue since it was on the list at bugday.gentoo.org. I don't see this problem with the 0.27 ebuild on my amd64 system. However, after building and installing, the app didn't seem to function worth much of anything. I don't use RSS much, but I couldn't get it to download and display any articles. I didn't look into it further as I'm not personally interested in the app and it looks reasonably dead upstream. At the suggestion of someone on IRC, copying Gilles Dartiguelongue who package.masked the package so he can close this bug if appropriate.
no need to CC me since I'm already in gnome herd. This package is a few days late in its last rite anyway so unless you have a magic fix, it's just going to die asap.
I have no problem with it going away. I only looked at this because it was listed on bugday.gentoo.org as a sandbox violation bug that could be looked into and I thought it might be something I could easily fix. Thanks for letting me know about the status.
At least someone took a look again after 2+ years. :) I stopped using a desktop feed reader in lieu of Google Reader ... it was a good reader though. Preferred its simplicity to Lifera. Apparently they're working on 0.28 nowadays.
