Gimp 2.2.13 was released today.
I succesfuly use 2.2.12.ebuild and rename it. all works for me

Please note that if cairo is not build with png-support gimp-2.2.12 fails to build (unresolved symbol: cairo_surface_write_to_png I guess the same goes for gimp-2.2.13, hence the ebuild should test for png support in cairo, just like gtk+ tests for X and pdf.

My motivation on doing anything on 2.2-ebuilds is very limited, because I haven't used it for ages and 2.4 is probably coming very soon. I plan to request stable-marking of one of the first 2.4-versions as soon as they're available. However if someone provides a polished and cleaned up ebuild for 2.2.13 (please try to have a least amount of differences to current 2.3-ebuilds), I can commit that.
by the mean time, we are now at media-gfx/gimp-2.3.14 , so please close this bug !
