Suggested post from this thread, and posted as a reminder to the dev who replied.

Suggestion from me: Send the email to multiple targets (user@localhost.box;root@localhost.box or some such idea) so that odd people like me could get the emails both as root and as the user.

Well, given that nobody else has shown an interest in this so far and I can't come up with a solution that doesn't require a new variable (as I hate adding new variables) closing this as WONTFIX. It's probably more suited to be handled by something like procmail anyway.
