net-misc/trickle has been removed according to http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/net-misc/trickle/ChangeLog?hideattic=0&rev=1.8&view=log However, I'm successfully using it on my system (not the daemon though, just the standalone program). So, it would be great if you could re-add it.
No, sorry. This package hasn't had an upstream release since June of 2003. won't compile with gcc-4 (bug #126597) and had no maintainer either.
Umm, this is a bit bad (for me at least) because there is no other program that could fulfill trickle's purpose, AFAICS.
Trickle also works for me with ssh at least. (doesn't work with rsync over ssh but doesn't matter because rsync has it's own bandwidth limiter). I can add this to sunrise. Does someone mind re-opening this and assigning to maintainer-wanted?
