What version of dev-lang/swig do you have installed? Do you know which version you had installed when you emerged kahakai?
dev-lang/swig-1.3.21 to both questions.
Is this the only message in your ~/.xsession-errors ? If not, please post it (in an attachment) and all other relevant information (most importantly, how to duplicate it and any extra USE flags it or dev-lang/swig was compiled with).

To duplicate, just try installing and running kahakai. No extra USE flags were provided for swig or kahakai. The stderr from startx is below. Sorry it took me so long to get back to this. Please sync up, unmask kahakai-0.6.2_p20040306-r1, and emerge it. I can't reproduce this bug, but I've resolved a similar one that relates to swig.
Unmasking -r1.
Just tried this on a fresh install of gentoo-hardened, and the error mentioned before persists.
Did you try kahakai-0.6.2_p20040306-r1 ? What version of dev-lang/swig do you have on the new install? If you can provide any more information on how to duplicate this, I'd appreciate it as I still cannot.
I installed using the 2006.1 install cd, fetched the 2006.0 hardened x86 stage3 and emerged kahakai. Here's the version info: dev-lang/swig-1.3.21 x11-wm/kahakai-0.6.2_p20040306-r1 I can grab any other details if you like.
> dev-lang/swig-1.3.21 same results also after upgrading to 1.3.25 and re-emerging kahakai.
/usr/share/kahakai/config had to be renamed to config.py in order to start up properly. Works like a charm then. Do you want to fix it or is it intended to have it that way?
Acknowledged. I am a moron, only the first start breaks with not finding config.py...stable on x86 and closing
Wrong bug, damn!
Removed from tree.
(In reply to comment #14) > Removed from tree. Then this bug can be closed, no ? According http://kahakai.sourceforge.net, the 03rd of June 2004 : "Kahakai's dead. This has been in the topic in #kahakai for a while now, but we were all too lazy to update the website. Sorry about that. ;) (damn, it's June already. Wow) (...)"
Yeah, that's been like that for a while. Oh well, it had a good run.
