I can also confirm a success on my x86 system.
We usually dont mark ebuilds with open bugs stable. You could have a look at and help to resolve bug 87679 to speed the process of stabilizing.
but still Acrobar Reader 7.0 works fine with mozilla-1.7.7 (didn't work with 1.7.6) so I think there was problem with mozilla/firefox rather that acroread itself. And today we've got some good news in http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87679 so I hope the time acroread-7.0 is made stable is so close...
Can you please test 7.0.0.2?
I've just typed emerge -D mozilla acroread (mozilla upgrade to 1.7.8) so in few hours I'm going to report it.
no problem witm mozilla-1.7.8 plugin and stand-alone work pdfs are opening quite nice seems stable
Sorry, I need to get the bugs resolved, first. Everyone is welcome to help me with testing and fixing :)
it will be marked stable according to the gentoo rules: no bugs for 30 days
sorry, didn't see that this one is a tracker bug
(In reply to comment #4) > Can you please test 7.0.0.2? to confirm, 7.0.0.2-r2 works on my x86 system without any problems
acroread-7.0.0.2-r2.ebuild has been marked x86 stable, thanks for all your testing. Amd64: Can you please also mark it stable?
FWIW, there are some *major major* colour and transparency bugs in Acro 7. TBH, I think Acro 5 and 7 should be slotted so we can have both installed. This v7 should certainly *stay* stable though. I have submitted #97371 for this. Craig Scribus Team
amd64 stable too
so what's about acroread-asianfonts-7.0.20020815, I think it's stable too.
