Description foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-09 05:18:23 UTC
This bug is for tracking the gnome 2.8.0 release trough it's ~arch state. Issues with any of the relevant packages should be filed in seperate bugs & then set to block this one if needed.

Do not use this bug as a general random comments dumping ground and do not discuss specific issues here, this is only meant to be used by developers directly.

Some issues that should be looked into in general :

* use gamin instead of fam by default

* bump gnome games (waiting for some minor security fixes)

Comment 2 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-11 16:17:03 UTC
added gnome-extra/gnome-games-2.8.1 & gnome-extra/gnome-games-extra-data-2.8.0 , still masked & not yet in meta giving the arches a change to add keywords to gnome-games-extra-data which is new.

gnome-games-extra-data only consists of a few extra graphic files to be used by gnome-games, it should be safe to just keyword it arches.

Added the local USE flag artworkextra to gnome-games to deal with this.
Comment 3 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-29 14:31:12 UTC
this has been stabilized, remaining issues pushed on to next release ( #72798 )
