Description:   Opened: 2004-08-08 07:17 0000 
This is a tracker bug leading up to a possible gnome-2.6.3 meta release to
~arch. The actual meta ebuild to make changes to at this point is
gnome-2.6.3_pre0 (in p.mask).

Issues that should be fixed before creating a new meta release should be
blocking this bug.

NOTE: Use nautilus-2.6.3-r1 in this meta bump, as it contains the "Option To
Remove Volumes From The Desktop" patch. Do _not_ use 2.6.3 or earlier versions,
only the revision, nautilus-2.6.3-r1.

Right, the only outstanding issues are:

o)  Gnometris on AMD64 (has patch)
o)  Gnome-Weather and UK (has patch)
o)  Esound issues - unresolved?

The versions have been bumped to the latest stable as far as I can tell, so after we fix these three remaining bugs, we can move to ~arch.

*gnometris : add the patch, we can't wait for the amd64 team forever & the
patch was accepted upstream a while ago
*gnome-weather : now later, though i think this shouldve been patched right
away. Patch looks ok & adresses a real isssue. We should try and act faster on
these sort of things.
*esound : seems alls .35 related, push them forward to the ~ -> to stable
release tracker, theyre not major & if there's no solution we can still drop
the .35 dep for stable.

We're not going to get to this, punting open dependencies to 2.8.1.
