I see openSuSE has already done the migration and, then, it shouldn't be so hard to us to start thinking on it (for not carrying one more slot for a long time if it's not really needed)
No consumer of :2.90 slot is present in the tree for a long time, maybe we can finally drop it
My only concern is that we still have vte:0 too, and some of those consumers might first upgrade to vte:2.90, because managing to upgrade to vte:2.91; but given that both are gtk3, that's a low chance and hopefully everything will go straight for 2.91

When I was trying to get rid of last vte:0 consumers I found that they are all gtk2 apps, some still pending to port to gtk3 and others that won't port ever to gtk3 as they don't "like" it
