Description Martin Mokrejš 2010-07-31 13:35:37 UTC
I have/had an issue with "perl-cleaner --reallyall" forcing me to downgrade perl while I just upgraded it from 5.10.1 to 5.12.1-r1. Originally I thought I have libperl vs. perl version problem but that was not the case, and anyway, as I was told libperl is an empty virtual package not installing any files. The story started here in bug #329339#c16 .

It seems the culprit is found now (thanks to Torsten), whether it is an issue with perl-cleaner or some mis-written .ebuild of one of my perl-based packages requring specifically some old perl version I do not know. Details below:

Yes, that helps, I did not run exact diff but I see two changes:

[ebuild N ] perl-core/ExtUtils-Install-1.54 66 kB
[ebuild U ] virtual/perl-Test-Harness-3.21 [3.17] 0 kB

while there is no downgrade from perl-5.12.1 to 5.10.1 requested anymore (great!).

That was not my cause.
