Only a minor patch, use newer open-iscsi (2.0.871.3 instead of 2.0.871), use new download path.
Created attachment 227309 [details, diff] genkernel-iscsi-ver.patch
Note: Tested successfully with /usr/portage/sys-kernel/genkernel/genkernel-3.4.10.907 and kernel 2.6.33-r1. Target was: sys-block/iscsitarget-1.4.19
works fine with 2.6.34-r1, too. Please bump, it's a really small change...
Created attachment 250173 [details] genkernel-new-iscsi.patch Use 2.0.872 instead of 2.0.871
We need 2.0.872 for ibft support.
iBFT support: http://github.com/craig/genkernel-iscsi/commit/e1687e01463808d6167200f54693c53b56b36765 Tested excessively with 2.6.35-r10. If we want to be network-outage resilient, we have to install open-iscsi 2.0.872 from #340425 and start the iscsid deamon.
Also http://github.com/craig/genkernel-iscsi/commit/9ce53cd0a03e4bea9a3913c0e4651bea7e607a17 for iscsi_noibft.
PS: Adding keyword "Inclusion" and "[patch] " prefix to better show this bug's nature in searches...
iscsi updated in these ebuilds now: - genkernel-3.4.12.6-r2.ebuild - genkernel-9999.ebuild - genkernel-99999.ebuild
Two commits cherry-picked to branch experimental now, closing. You can use genkernel-99999 (five nines) to get it. I you want an extra release early, just drop me a mail. Also, feel free to add yourself to the genkernel alias. Git commit access is no problem, either.
