The iwlagn driver included in kernels >=2.6.27 needs ucode API -2 Therefore, please mark net-wireless/iwl4965-ucode-228.57.2.21 (or equivalent) stable. Would be nice if this could happen quickly; 2.6.27 is getting stable-keyworded since yesterday.
2.6.27 has now been stabilized for most platforms. An kernel upgrade renders your wireless link unusable, a symlink to the old firmware doesn't work.
This stabilization needs to be done as kernel 2.6.27 has been already stabilized. I think that this should be marked at least as "normal" severity instead of "enhancement" Thanks

Works correctly on my x86 Thinkpad R61 (though I now suffer from bug #246026)
