Original bash-completion is dead upstream. However, Debian has carried on with development and fixed various long-standing bugs. We could consider bumping to Debian's continuation. Or we can continue maintaining our own (growing) patchset in-house. Opinions?

bash-completion original author officially handed maintainance over to Debian's maintainers. So this is now a regular version bump request. I uploaded up-to-date ebuild and patches to http://dev.gentoo.org/~coldwind/stuff/bash-completion/ Comments?
Santiago, I don't remember that anybody worked on bash-completition after pioto resigned from maintaining this package (that happened 18 months, 1 week ago!). So please, commit your work into the tree. Thanks.
Upstream merged most Gentoo patches, I'll commit a newer version at some point.
Santiago, I am interested in shaping up the bash-completion in Gentoo. What do we want to do here? I do a similar thing for games-misc/wtf, cron script that mails me when the repo changed and I selectively decide when to role a new tarball since there are no "version releases"
Unless someone spots any problem, I'll be commiting this soon: http://dev.gentoo.org/~coldwind/stuff/bash-completion/bash-completion-20081218.ebuild http://dev.gentoo.org/~coldwind/stuff/bash-completion/bash-completion_20081218.tar.gz
app-shells/bash-completion-20081218 is in the tree.
Any version of the bash-completion ebuild I've tried after 20060301 don't work for me. Any help would be appreciated.
