I give unto you Bug #20055 for gpdf-0.100. The submitter had posted the ebuild and digest in one tar.bz2. I extracted and posted the text files separately and advised the submitter to do the same in the future. The ebuild itself compiled without incident. I am on shaky ground with eclasses so I'm going to do some reading up on those. Namely this ebuild inherits gnome2 and gnome.org and then just specifies ${SRC_URI} for his SRC_URI. Not sure how that works and I want to be sure that I'm not letting anything sneaky through. Please let me know if there are any problems here. http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20055
gucharmap-0.6.1 is Bug #21953. Application compiled, installed, and ran without incident. I added a note as to what the patch file needs to be named. Bug #18577 is an older ebuild for gucharmap-0.4.0. I believe that one can be closed out since Bug #21953 is the latest-n-greatest.
Bug #19811 is aldo-0.0.10. It is a morse code tutor. The author of the app needs some help with his English and the menu system isn't very intuitive, but that only adds to the fun. I attached an updated ebuild to use the "mirror://sourceforge" system, as the submitter had hard-coded the UNC mirror in, and I let the submitter know. Otherwise I believe this is ready.
Bug #21519 is a duplicate of Bug #19811 for Aldo. Although the newer one suggests putting it in app-hamradio. I have no opinion on that matter and the submitter probably knows better than I.
Bug #17214 is linklint, an open-source perl program that verifies web site links. The submitter's ebuild looks good, I've added a digest file and would think this belongs in dev-perl.
Bug #22801 is ktoblzcheck. It is a library to help applications verify bank information. It is used by lxbank, which is going to be my next submission as soon as I test it out.
Bug #20164 is hexcalc, a simple hex calculator like xcalc from the X folks. I cleaned up the ebuild a bit and posted the digest as well. I suggested app-sci for it.
Bug #22990 is an updated ebuild for sys-libs/libchipcard-0.9. Pretty much just a version change here. The new ebuild is just a copy of the 0.8.5 ebuild with a new name.
Bug #19169 is app-sci/stellarium. While it is currently assigned to malverian, no progress has been made in over two months. The author is a co-worker and friend of mine so I took a special interest. avenj said to contact him again about it so this is again. Hope I'm not abusing my super-human powers.
Just inquiring as to my status. Is there more that I should be doing to gain full dev status?
Don -- I think this may have been dropped through the cracks -- let me follow up with seemant and avenj and one of them will get back with you.
Sorry, Don - I'm a little behind on everything here after spending a bit of time away from the computer. I'm getting caught up on a backlog of stuff and will get back to you soon.
Bug #23875 is one of my own creation, Zuul. It is a php front-end for mldonkey that a friend and I developed. Ebuild is pretty straight-forward and borrows code found in the phpBB ebuild for finding the apache document root, etc.
Bug #24103 is an updated ebuild for nspr, the Netscape Portable Runtime libraries. The newer version is needed by NSS, Mozilla's network security system, which is needed by the newer gaim-encryption and evolution. I spoke with liquidx and he assigned himself to it, but just an FYI of my work. I'm also working on the nss ebuild for Bug #24102, a request of my own. However it is ugly and I will probably need help with it. And this all started because gaim-encryption changed their libraries from openssl to mozilla's nss and I wanted to make an updated gaim-0.64-r1 for it. :p
Don, get in touch with me on IRC and we'll get you set up.
Bug #24283 is my own work for xxe, a swell java-based XML editor that has made docbook management a breeze. Recommending app-editors for category.
rizzo's all set - Kurt, can you set him up with accounts? Don, let me know when you're set up and I'll change your Bugzilla login and give you information on what you need from CVS.
Fantastic thank you.
Don -- can you send me a DSA public ssh key so I can set up your account?
Don's account is set up and operational.
robh has converted my bugzilla login to rizzo@gentoo.org. FYI.
John, I know you probably don't need any more work, but do you think you could take a few minutes to walk rizzo through his first commit sometime? My schedule and his schedule seem to be entirely incompatible...
not a problem at all :) doing so as we speak
completed :) 3 newebuilds in the process too :D
Reassigning bugs to recruiters...
Changing bug titles to comply with new developer bug title conformance standards, sorry for the spam.
Don Seiler recently sent his resignation mail to -core, so here's the accompanying bug to track the retirement process. Hope to see you around Don from time to time :) Infra, please retire Don.
Err, maybe cc'ing infra would help :)
infra: please retire rizzo.
Done
