Bug 132874 – eix doesn't recognize layman s overlays

if setup different layman-overlays.
update-eix doesn't recognize it.
would be nice if it does.

I've inserted a 'source $path_to_layman_conf/make.conf' in my make.conf
portage works with the overlays, eix not.

use [e-mail] for reports if you dont know how to find out the real maintainer.

The people in /usr/portage/app-portage/eix/metadata.xml should be CCed

As a workaround (until eix supports the "source" feature) people can also omit the "source /path/to/layman/make.conf" in /etc/make.conf and modify the layman
config like this:

#-----------------------------------------------------------
# Path to the make.conf file that should be modified by 
# layman
make_conf : /etc/make.conf

This way you don't need the source statement and layman will directly modify
your /etc/make.conf. Decide for yourself if you consider that dangerous or safe
enough :)

The current svn trunk I just checked in should support the "source" command.
Please test it.
