I have seen this, and AFAIK you are still FINE to continue installation from this point. FINE to continue installation WITHOUT network? I suggest setting severity to critical or blocker, as installation on a notebook seems to be inpossible with this issue. compaq smart2 is network driver??? hrm... on my friend's compaq it werks fine... use a 1.2 CD for your base install until our next of 1.4_pre CDs comes out with a new kernel. New livecd fixes this problem Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this. |
