For me Stable in x86.
I wonder how this can happen. I thought arch team members are asked to run a
stable system, so such a blocker will go unnoticed.

Clearly USE=ppds must have been disabled..
x86, hppa, sparc: Bug 181055.
Who CCd arches on incomplete bug? Major breakage here.
So if this is going stable, do net-print/foomatic-filters-ppds-20070501 as
well.
amd64, ppc, and x86 needs also hplip-1.7.4a-r1 because new cups blocks all
previous versions.
And someone who actually touches hp* drivers please verify those blockers
doesn't leave people with HP printers without drivers now.
(I don't, got no hardware to test.)

The reporter did. The [View Bug Activity] link on the bug page tells you that.
Other than that, you didn't need to re-CC hppa, as nothing is broken for us at
this point. I saw two net-print bugs, assumed they were connected, and fixed
them:
04:36 gentoo Commit by jer :: gentoo-x86/net-print/cups/ (ChangeLog
cups-1.2.10-r1.ebuild):
Stable for HPPA (bug #180909).
(Portage version: 2.1.2.9) #
04:32 gentoo Commit by jer :: gentoo-x86/net-print/foomatic-filters-ppds/ (2
files):
Stable for HPPA (bug #180906).
(Portage version: 2.1.2.7)
That's four minutes of breakage time. :)
Please don't copy arches that did their homework and don't have said problem,
kthxbye.
~x86 restored until hplip is stable.

Sorry, this is all my fault. I was (and still am) sick and in need of sleep,
and I should have waited for the day after instead of obeying genstef right
away. Please accept my apologies.
So now, there's bug #180906 and bug #181108 which block this one.
Denis.
x86 gone again, and for all

sorry, turned out to be some USB issue - /dev/usb/lp0 existed but did not work,
after pulling out the USB side of the cable the device file disappeared, after
pluging in again it did not appear and kernel complained about some "device
descriptor read error" ... pulling out the Centronics side of the cable helped,
now it works again, tested using cups 1.2.9, 1.2.10-r1 and 1.2.11
alpha stable, thanks Brian and Tobias
