Description Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2012-09-25 11:30:45 UTC
Description
A vulnerability has been discovered in WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site request forgery attacks.

The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the requests. This can be exploited to e.g. change the URL of the feed for the incoming links section on the dashboard if a logged-in administrative user visits a malicious web site.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.4.2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
No official solution is currently available.

Upstream has confirmed that this issue was fixed in =>www-apps/wordpress-3.5. Since there are no vulnerable versions in the portage tree, I'm closing this bug.
