gpsdrive-2.10pre2.patch
Patch against current gpsdrive-2.09.ebuild.
New USE-flags are 'garmin' and 'teleatlas'.
Need som help to sort out the dir-names in the ebuild.
We could probably do some more work in order
move out the friendsd- and gpsd-daemon,
for those that don't want it.
/Charlie

Ebuild for gpsdrive-2.10pre2
New ebuild, this one actually works =) I also added nogpsd and nofriendsd use
flags to get disable gpsd and friendsd.
I also have a question, where am I supposed to get the gpsnavlib from the
teleatlas use flag requires?!?
(In reply to comment #3) > New ebuild, this one actually works =) I also added nogpsd and nofriendsd use > flags to get disable gpsd and friendsd. It would be better to use non-negated USE flags "gpsd" and "friendsd". This fixed my problem with using gpsdrive, kismet and mysql not wanting to work together. Now It works like a charm. I use a NMEA device over usb. Any chance of getting this ebuild updated for gpsdrive-2.10pre4? ebuild for 2.10_pre4
They changed the build format completely, so the old ebuilds won't be of much use. This one works for me...

to enable build without mapnik (whatever that is)
I think this version (and later) should really use the newer gpsd package (external rather than internal). I was working on the latest gpsd (with a udev rule rather than the old hotplug setup) but then I got busy again... Feel free to work on this ebuild if you want; you should be able to use the latest gpsd-2.34 while I finish up 2.36. Thanks... Tried gpsdrive-2.10_pre4.ebuild on AMD64 and got this: configure: error: Need Perl module HTTP::Request !!! Ebuild for gpsdrive-2.10pre5
I created a new ebuild for gpsdrive-2.10_pre5. It is not fully functional though. E.g. the debug use flag does not work. I will try to find out why it does not work when I have some spare time.
An updated gpsdrive-2.10_pre5 is now in portage, but I'm not sure it's worth trying to stable the older 2.0.9 ebuild at this point. Let's see how long it takes for the full 2.10 release; I may add a newer _pre if we need it, but I'd prefer to shoot for a stable 2.10 sooner rather than later. File any new bugs as needed, and thanks... |
