I've updated this ebuild to version 1.3, I still find it a useful tool, even if it's not in the official tree. New ebuild posted below. Created attachment 93120 [details]

not really related to python except it is written in python. removing cc. Well, it looks like Michael has been busy updating PyFloppy, I only just noticed this. I've updated the ebuild for version v1.6 and also added a patch to catch instances where python is installed without tk support and print the appropriate message suggesting that the 'tk' USE flage be enabled for python.
