With latest stable app-editors/xemacs-21.5.35 xemacs passes a clang-16 build monitored by the "cheesy /etc/portage/bashrc hook", https://gist.github.com/thesamesam/4ddaa95f3f42c2be312b676476cbf505, with no errors.
