I've got a different compile error, also on 2005.0, ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" fully up to date system. /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.5-20050130/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot open output file ../unxlngi4.pro/lib/libsvx645li.so: No such file or directory collect2: ld returned 1 exit status dmake: Error code 1, while making '../unxlngi4.pro/lib/libsvx645li.so' ---* TG_SLO.MK *--- ERROR: Error 65280 occurred while making /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/svx/util The full command and other compiler output can be found here: http://www-users.york.ac.uk/~raa110/software/openofficefail.txt (It's 47kb, so I wasn't posting all of it) The error is right, in that the directory /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/svx/unxlngi4.pro/lib/ doesn't exist. I've just created it and resumed the emerge (FEATURES="keepwork") Oh, and emerge --info: Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.3.5-20050130, glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1, 2.6.11-gentoo-r5desk i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.11-gentoo-r5desk i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+ Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 Python: dev-lang/python-2.3.4-r1 [2.3.4 (#1, Feb 21 2005, 11:19:30)] distcc 2.16 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [disabled]ccache version 2.3 [enabled] dev-lang/python: 2.3.4-r1 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.59-r6, 2.13 sys-devel/automake: 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.5, 1.4_p6, 1.6.3, 1.9.4 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r7 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.14 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.8.1-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O3 -march=athlon-xp -pipe -msse -mmmx -m3dnow -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -march=athlon-xp -pipe -msse -mmmx -m3dnow -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms strict userpriv usersandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://www.mirror.ac.uk/mirror/distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo http://gentoo.mirror.sdv.fr http://gentoo.osuosl.org http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 3dnow 3dnowex 3dnowext X a52 aac acpi alsa ao apm asm audiofile avi bash-completion berkdb bigger-fonts bitmap-fonts bzip2 bzlib cdda cddb cdio cdparanoia cdr cdrom codecs crypt cscope cups curl curlwrappers dbase dnd dpms droproot dts dv dvb dvd dvdr dvdread edl emboss encode exif fame fb fdftk ffmpeg fftw flac flash foomaticdb fortran fpx freetype ftp gdbm gif gimp gimpprint glut gnome gphoto2 gpm gs gtk gtk2 guile ieee1394 image imagemagick imap imlib inkjar ipv6 jack jack-tmpfs java javadoc javascript jp2 jpeg jpeg2k kde kdexdeltas ladcca ladspa largeterminal lcms libg++ libvisual libwww live lzo lzw lzw-tiff mad mbox md5sum mdb mime ming mixer mjpeg mmx mmxext mng mono mp3 mpeg mpeg4 mplayer mythtv ncurses network nls no-old-linux no24bpp nodrm noplugin nothemes nptl ntlm nvidia ogg oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdf pdfkit pdflib perl physfs plugin png portaudio python quicktime readline real rtc samba scanner sdl server sftplogging sharedmem slang sndfile sockets soundtouch sox spell sse sse2 ssl stream svg svgz symlink sysfs syslog sysvipc tcpd tga theora tidy tiff timidity transcode truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts usb userlocales utf8 v4l2 vcd vcdimager virtual vorbis win32codecs wmf wxwindows x11vnc xanim xbase xine xml xml2 xmms xosd xv xvid xvmc yv12 zlib" Unset: ASFLAGS, CBUILD, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY Are you both sure, that you have enough free diskspace (4-6 GB) to compile this? Also: @Richard: Another build breakage, another bug, please New bug submitted at http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89520 df -h /var/ Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hdd7 4.1G 3.0G 1.1G 74% /var with the whole tree unpacked and part compiled, so hasn't run out of space yet. 1.1.4 and 1.1.3 both compiled fine on the same system. I also have enough disk space :) My /var partition is 7GB with 5.5 GB free with Openoffice sources unpacked to the /var/tmp/portage. Do you have dev-libs/icu installed? (you don't have to, but it could interfere) Need feedback here, please reopen if you have new info and you still get that |
