Reported to upstream bug with kwin and nvidia modesetting. Don't know where could be the issue, from a conflict between xorg-drivers and nvidia-drivers or kwin compositing concurrency issue.

The crash happens randomly, can't describe a real pattern, but always when loading KDE environment.

Try with different nvidia-drivers versions. I don't consider this a Plasma bug.

I'm closing this for now as duplicate for lack of any system information given here, in favor of one with more info and suspected xorg-server issue.
