Of course, if you have any questions or comments, I would be glad to hear it. I am also willing to do some testing (maybe some development) to get this to work.. Can you create a basic ebuild to install these modules, then attach it to this bug? I could, but I have not been able to install Gentoo, and therefor I am having trouble to know how the ebuild-system works, and figure how to make a ebuild- package.. But I will try to install Gentoo via Slackware, to see if I can get it working. I had the same problems with both a Intel Pro/100 S Desktop Adapter (82550EY) and a 3COM 3C905CX-TXM. Neither would work off that ISO image. I posted to the Installing Gentoo Forum (http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=16108) reguarding this. Someone said that the eepro100 driver is built into the kernel on that release. If so, its not working with my NIC. I had to boot off the 1.2 iso image and then stage1 from the 1.4_rc1 in order to install. I had created a bug report with ebuilds attached for linux-wlan-ng... http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7843 I am getting ready to update it with the latest version of the driver package since it's up to 0.1.15 now. My original post was for 0.1.15_pre7. Thanks Tom! Will look into adding this support to the LiveCD soon :) OK, will be on the livecds built *after* 12/21/02. Closing this bug to avoid clutter (already added it to my build script, so it *will* get on there :) |
