Ok.. I discovered the lack of a Xig extension is normal and is just because I'm not using the Xig server.. the crash was caused by the official sound nvsound nforce drivers it seems.. but the end result is: ------------------------------- auzy@family ~ $ ut2003 fcntl: Operation not permitted fcntl: Operation not permitted Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0". GL_EXT_bgra not supported - bailing out. History: Exiting due to error auzy@family ~ $ ----------------------------------------- I'm guessing its just ut2003 doesn't support geforceFX's yet (seems like only geforce 2-4).. would be nice during the ebuild if this was stated. Thanks all.. I guess this bug can be closed now too (unless theres a way to get it working with geforce FX.. even though, they should support this extension so it might have been an oversight by Nvidia) seems I forgot to opengl-update last install.. says opengl is messed up now.. but at least I know the reason |
