Description Philippe Trottier (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-08 01:11:48 UTC
enable DISTCC in make.conf
MAKEOPTS="-j6"
emerge -pv openoffice-ximian

The distcc locks and state files aren't allowed...

I am now trying with sandbox disabled...

it might be the same on other arches ...

Important note : This is using portage-2.0.51-rc7
Comment 6 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-08 09:48:27 UTC
openoffice-ximian does not use distcc at all as parallel make still breaks, so am not sure this is really related
Comment 7 Lisa Seelye (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-08 10:51:11 UTC
Another dupe.

My guess is portage is invoking gcc -dumpversion through distcc symlinks.
