As noted on 2 Sep 2017, the bitcoincore.eclass needs to be removed and the code for bitcoin ebuilds inlined.

Luke, are you interested in doing the necessary work, or do we have to find a new maintainer for those packages? Delaying and trying to find people unaware of QA requests to sneak the changes in is not going to be help anyone.

"Sneak" is a pretty ugly word considering you said that was a legitimate option.

Seems like a better idea to inline for new versions, and just leave the eclass around until the old ones can be removed? Or do you want old ones inlined too?

Do we have to wait for stabilisation of 0.15.1 here or can we drop back to ~arch?
