are you still able to reproduce? (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #6) yes, eg at 17.0-developer_20180623-161401 did you run revdep-rebuild after updating gcc? (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #8) no, burt @preserved-rebuild is run : tinderbox@mr-fox ~ $ head -n 30 run/17.0-developer_20180623-161401/tmp/task.history %emerge -u sys-devel/gcc %SwitchGCC %emerge --unmerge sys-devel/gcc:6.4.0 %emerge -u sys-kernel/vanilla-sources %BuildKernel media-libs/jpeg @system %emerge --resume --skip-first @system %emerge --resume --skip-first @preserved-rebuild %SwitchGCC @preserved-rebuild @world %emerge --resume --skip-first %SwitchGCC @preserved-rebuild @world dev-util/cmake @system dev-python/dominate dev-haskell/distributive dev-perl/Devel-CheckBin media-gfx/frogr net-p2p/torrentinfo dev-ros/smach ... try running revdep-rebuild as preserved-rebuild doesn't catch the breakage caused by gcc-config when switching gcc versions -> bug 459038 (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #10) oha, I was told that it should not be necessary to run revdep-rebuild suually. Ok, but it gaves nothing here: tinderbox@mr-fox ~ $ tail -f run/17.0-developer_20180623-161401/tmp/task.log Tue Jun 26 22:06:32 CEST 2018 * This is the new python coded version * Please report any bugs found using it. * The original revdep-rebuild script is installed as revdep-rebuild.sh * Please file bugs at: https://bugs.gentoo.org/ * Collecting system binaries and libraries * Checking dynamic linking consistency * Assign files to packages emerge --oneshot --complete-graph=y net-wireless/unifi:0/5.8 These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order: Calculating dependencies .... done! !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "net-wireless/unifi:0/5.8" have been masked. !!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: - net-wireless/unifi-5.8.23::gentoo (masked by: ubiquiti license(s)) A copy of the 'ubiquiti' license is located at '/usr/portage/licenses/ubiquiti'. For more information, see the MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or refer to the Gentoo Handbook. (In reply to Toralf Förster from comment #11) ui, after unmerging the blocking package I now run into bug 592188 FWIW the GCC switch is at the tinderbox images the very first step after unapcking astage3 and cofniguring it a little bit - so revdep-rebuild should not have an effect here for this bug well... if it shows no broken package, ok. In my case after gcc-config set to gcc7 from gcc6, some packages broke due to soname bump of fortran libs Package removed. |
