I gave up on mailman because it's such a %&^%*%*& pain, so here's my rendition 
of ezmlm-idx.

This is a qmail-based mailing list manager. It's an add-on to the original work 
(ezmlm) by DJB, but it seems like it has superceded it and is the defacto 
standard (see www.ezmlm.org)

Have a look at the way I did the install stuff.... not sure if this is the 
preferred way but it works well for me. 

I'm open to any advice as I'd like to start doing a few more ebuilds.

drobbins has committed new ebuilds for ezmlm-idx, ezmlm-idx-mysql, and ezmlm-
idx-pgsql.  Please test and let me know if there is anything that the ebuilds 
are missing.
