I am experiencing this bug, too... The workaround mentioned in the Arch Linux thread did work for me, though: emerge -av1 "=app-crypt/libsecret-0.18.3" Can I deliver any more information on this issue to help you solve it? I had the same issue and downgrading to app-crypt/libsecret-0.18.3 from app-crypt/libsecret-0.18.4 solved it. Can you try with 3.18.4? I'm currently running gnome-shell-3.18.4 with libsecret-0.18.4 without problems. Before applying the patch, I had the same problems described in this bug report.
