Do you have cblas installed? what is the output of "pkg-config --libs cblas"? There shound't be two eselect modules handling cblas. Uninstall 'app-eselect/eselect-cblas'[1]. Using the science overlay, there only should be the 'Alternatives module'. Furthermore, if I remember correctly after installing gsl you still need to select the cblas implementation to be used utilizing 'eselect cblas set'.
