Bug 558008

Summary: packages.gentoo.org wasn't aware of migration to git
Product: Gentoo Infrastructure Reporter: Mike Limansky <limanski>
Component: [OLD] gpackagesAssignee: Gentoo Packages Website <gpackages>
Status: RESOLVED FIXED
Severity: normal CC: achurch+gentoo, dschridde+gentoobugs, gentoo.bugs, krinpaus, luke, pacho, paolo.pedroni, salikov.alexey
Priority: Normal
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
URL: http://packages.gentoo.org
Whiteboard:
Package list:
Runtime testing required: ---

Description Mike Limansky 2015-08-17 11:16:21 UTC
packages.gentoo.org still links to CVS. As result it shows that package was updated, but it doesn't show changelog with message: "No changelog entry available". Also links to changelog lead to "sources.gentoo.org" (as I see it's an old cvs server).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any package in packages.gentoo.org
Actual Results:
1. Last change record is not shown.
2. Changelog link lead to old location (cvs).

Expected Results:
1. Last change record shall be shown.
2. Changelog link shall lead to proper location (git).
Comment 1 Dennis Schridde 2015-08-25 11:16:13 UTC
It seems to have entirely stopped updating on saturday.
Comment 2 Mike Limansky 2015-08-31 09:22:03 UTC
Last observations, change is shown, but the old one (I suppose latest one from CVS).
Comment 3 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2015-09-02 10:36:00 UTC
The only part that looks to be "broken" is the one showing changes... but that is because ChangeLog are not being generated anymore... if they are going to be automatically generated from git summaries this will probably be solved too

As announced on planet.gentoo.org [1], packages.gentoo.org is getting a face lift and a test version[2] is now available.

Comment 9 Nicolas Pöhlmann 2015-10-25 18:22:10 UTC
Because as Pacho Ramos wrote here: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=558008#c3

They were simply not generated anymore.

But I'm missing the Changelogs too, so you could not detect if you need a rebuild, a new version or not.
