i'm thinking about moving /usr/lib/vfs/ to /usr/lib/samba/vfs/, for compatibility with external tools (like antiviruses) that suppose 'redhat-like' lib paths. vfs options = vscan-clamav works. if you have time to spare, can you try samba-3.0.5-r1? (libs change: from /usr/lib/vfs to /usr/lib/samba/vfs) I'm opening a forum on its refinig on bug #58090 BTW: which are the functionality changes if you remove the 'vfs options = vscan-clamav' line? I don't use clamav myself, sorry. Just a question about the samba WHATSNEW doc, which states that 'vfs options' is to be removed (around line 1500 or so) This is probably invalid now - Due to file moves in samba-3.0.5-r1. |
