There are two passages in the license that prohibits us from including this in Gentoo: "Bocaloco is only willing to grant you this License if you obtained the Product from Bocaloco or a Bocaloco authorized reseller. If you obtained the Product from any other source you may not install or use the Product." Which means we cannot mirror it, and that's a real maintenance nightmare for us. We do not have the extra capacity to maintain such eclipse packages at this time. "You may not: (a) modify, adapt, alter, translate, or create derivative works of the Product or merge the Product with other software other than as described in the Product's accompanying documentation or as approved of in writing by Bocaloco;" The way I read this, is that we need to obtain permission from Bocaloco to include this in a pre-packaged form in Gentoo. If the license ever changes to allow us free redistribution, I'll accept and include it. I do however, thank you for your ebuild contribution. We thrive on user contributions and input. I'm sorry that we had to turn this particular ebuild down due to restrictive licenses:/ |
