Description

![]() Current unstable ebuild net-analyzer/pnp4nagios-0.6.25 force to use a nagios-core < 4.x. There is this note inside ebuild: # A lot of things (sync mode, for one) are broken with nagios-4.x. I'm currently using pnp4nagios-0.6.24 with nagios-core 4.08-r2 without any problems. There is only one restriction is that you can't use PNP4Nagios Broker Module npcdmod.o as note on the main pnp4nagios page: https://docs.pnp4nagios.org/pnp-0.6/start But you can use it without this module as explained in pnp4nagios documentation: https://docs.pnp4nagios.org/pnp-0.6/modes So it would be great to display a warning in pnp4nagios ebuild and NOT TO FORCE to downgrade nagios-core to a 3.x version since it's an upstream restriction. Message could be: " PNP4Nagios Broker Module npcdmod.o is not compatible with Nagios Core 4.x See https://docs.pnp4nagios.org/pnp-0.6/modes for usage " (In reply to Zentoo from comment #1) I agree with Zentoo, I'm too using Nagios 4 with pnp4nagios. amd64 stable Dear Maintainer (or who is mainly involved in this stable request), This is an auto-generated message that will move the current component to the new component Stabilization.
