Confirming. Look for libaudclient under 'Removed features': http://audacious-media-player.org/news/27-audacious-3-5-released On my system this breaks x11-plugins/wmauda, app-admin/conky and xfce-extra/xfce4-playercontrol-plugin. Same problem here. Some guys over at Arch Linux have a tarball that adds audclient functionality separate from the new audacious. See https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=183469. Maybe gentoo could do something similar while we wait for conky et al to catch up? Bug #521176 comment #1 has an ebuild for libaudclient, as distributed by the audacious developers. (In reply to Martin von Gagern from comment #5) > Bug #521176 comment #1 has an ebuild for libaudclient, as distributed by the > audacious developers. It would be nice if the audacious maintainers add the ebuild to the tree, else I have to remove audacious support until conky works with the new version. @sound, chainsaw: Any chance to add this compatibility package to the tree? I do not know if this is worth the effort, maybe media-sound/mp3splt-gtk and media-sound/mp3splt-gtk are the only two packages requiring libaudclient. ping! *** Bug 542400 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** any news on this? I have disabled audacious support for now. If there is libaudclient ebuild eventually it can be added back. Apparently audacious can still be used with conky to some extent.
