why not? that's exactly what eg. Debian is doing with their 'QA' page thing i'd use http://packages.gentoo.org/ Invalid doesn't mean what you think it means. Just ask yourself if it is helpful for any user if the HOMEPAGE is set to gentoo.org? This might be okay for gentoo-hosted projects (even then you should link to a project homepage or git repository or whatever), but it might harm Gentoo's reputation being connected to dead projects. You can also create and use: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Logitech-applet If this is too much effort, we should probably create something like https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/DEAD_HOMEPAGE and explain users that there's no homepage available. It's a default. A random message on a random mailing list is not going to fix this . gentoo.org has since forever been the default URI for cases where no homepage is available.
