check the strace for some more info. i don't use kaffeine here. You have filed three bugs reports Janis, but you don't reply. If I don't see any comment with two weeks, I'll close these bug reports. I'm sorry my computer was busted and I lost all mail, how do I check the strace? how do I check the strace? emerge strace ; man strace winows media is fine here (win32codecs), but i guess your problem is a very simple one - real video cannot work because kaffeine is a xine frontend and xine needs cook.so.6 (realplayer 8 codec) to play real media stuff. The problem: realplayer is masked for security reasons (Bug 40469) so you shouldn't use it. Alternatives? helixplayer or realplayer 10 - both do not supply cook.so, though. closing, since we cannot do anything about it. closed source codec... |
