Looks like it's a bug in the source that didn't previously appear, possibly because the method is never instantiated. Possibly. Anyway, the attached diff gets it compiled and might even be correct. Created attachment 30311 [details, diff]

*** Bug 49565 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** gtkmm-1.1.12 got released that supposedly fixes this (not yet in the tree) I hit the same bug. The new ebuild is still not in teh tree? :( Had to patch myself using this patch. Thanks, Jonathan. 2.2.12 is in portage and seems to fix the problem.
