The problem is with the /etc/fonts/conf.avail/*.conf files that have features no longer supported in newer fontconfig versions. You should file bug reports for the individual font packages that install these files. Note that conf.d/ has symlinks to ../conf.avail/ where those files get installed. I've put in bug 490340 for media-fonts/arphicfonts. As far as I know all affected packages in the gentoo repo have been fixed. |
