I try to install gentoo in my netbook. They don't have cd-rom and I try to install by a pendrive, but don't work. The installation docs don't recognize a pendrive in /dev/sd*.
Sorry about my english. I'm a brazilian guy.

How did you transfer the ISO image to the pendrive?

As he's trying to boot from a usb pen, this is most certainly a duplicate.

There are independant problems regarding unetbootin which I was trying to tease out, but yeah probably the same issue.
